Safe Food Handling
This accredited unit is suitable for people involved in preparing, displaying and selling food. It provides the knowledge and application of a food safety program that complies with regulations.
The Workshop includes:
> Personal Hygiene and Sanitation
> Identify Food Safety Program
> Store and handle food products hygienically
> Clean work areas and equipment
> Monitor food safety
> Contribute to continuous improvement
Suitable participants may require this qualification to gain employment in the food industry. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a statement of attainment aligned with the nationally accredited unit

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Do I need a Food Handlers Certificate to work with Food?
Yes. Any staff member who is preparing, handling or serving food must have their Food Handlers Certificate, as per the Food Act 1984.
Do I need my Food Safety Supervisors?
Only one person in each Registered Kitchen is required to have their Food Safety Supervisors. This is normally a supervisor; manager or chef; but you may be asked to attend by your workplace.
